Client Best Served: Family Preservation services are referred by the Department of Child Services for all families who have an Informal Adjustment or an In-Home CHINS.


Treatment Focus/Area of Specialization: Adult & Child will provide weekly safety checks for families in addition to providing evidence-based services such as Trauma Focused CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Seeking Safety, Helping the Noncompliant Child. Both Child Welfare Specialists and Therapists providing Family Preservation Services have been trained in these models and receive ongoing support and supervision to ensure they are meeting the expectations of the treatment model.

Client Best Served: We serve children/youth/families referred by either the Department of Child Services or Juvenile Courts.


Treatment Focus/Area of Specialization: We provide home-based mental health and child welfare services to our families. Our goal is to assist children to remain safely in their home or to help families achieve their permanency goals. We work with families who are experiencing effects of mental illness, addictions, sexual abuse, disabilities and who have children with severe emotional disturbance. We utilize a combination of evidence based practices to provide effective treatment and child welfare services. As a CCBHC, families are provided access to crisis services, primary care, outpatient and community mental health care, addiction treatment/MAT, psychiatric care, school based services, and care coordination.

Client Best Served: We serve children with a wide variety of mental health needs; emotional, behavioral and psychiatric challenges. We also care for children with physical health needs, medically fragile children and developmentally delayed children.


Treatment Focus/Area of Specialization: We provide innovative clinical care, including psychiatric care, medication management, psychological evaluation, and therapy to address issues related to all forms of abuse, neglect, emotional/behavioral disorders for the children in our homes. We strive to provide excellent customer service to our referral sources and families by maintaining caseloads with 7 to 10 children for each case manager to ensure the needs of all parties involved with the child are met. As a CCBHC, children are provided access to crisis services, primary care, outpatient and community mental health care, addiction treatment/MAT, psychiatric care, school based services, and care coordination.

Treatment Focus/Area of Specialization: High Fidelity Wraparound is an evidence-based, team-driven process that supports youth with serious mental health or behavior challenges. A team of family, friends, professionals, and community members works together to create a personalized care plan based on the child’s needs and strengths. Eligible youth must be 6–17 years old, live in the community, have Indiana Medicaid, and have two qualifying mental health diagnoses.

Anderson Center at St.Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital - Adolescent Residential Treatment Program

Client Best Served: Adolescents ages 11-18 years who are unable to function in a less restrictive environment. The PRTF is a comprehensive service that addresses both mental and addiction issues.


Treatment Focus/Area of Specialization: The PRTF offers a multidisciplinary approach to treatment. Healthcare professionals including psychiatrists, nurses, clinical social workers, behavioral counselors, mental health assistants and educators work together to develop individual patient treatment plans which include individual, group, and family therapies. Residents attend school on grounds. Most importantly this structured program will utilize behavioral modification techniques, in conjunction with insight-oriented approaches, to help the adolescent cope with emotional and behavioral treatment issues and to develop the skills needed to succeed in a less restrictive environment. This Program specialize in managing diabetes mellitus (type I and II).

Client Best Served: The inpatient mental health and addiction services were designed to meet the complex needs of adolescents who suffer from mental illness and addiction requiring inpatient treatment. The adolescent program is overseen by a psychiatrist.


Treatment Focus/Area of Specialization: Adolescent patients are cared for in a discrete, separate unit. The program is designed for adolescents, ages 11-18 (or as appropriate). An interdisciplinary team that includes psychiatrists, physicians, psychologists, social workers, professional nurses, counselors, and pastoral care counselors work together to meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of individuals. Inpatient treatment consists of various types of therapies, including group, individual, and family sessions. The length of treatment is entirely dependent on the individual\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s personal accomplishment of treatment goals and objectives.

Client Best Served: Anderson center provides Intensive Outpatient programs for adolescents. Clients attend therapy sessions three days per week 3 hours per day. We provide separate Intensive Outpatient programs for addiction and mental health.

Ascent 121 - Community Based Services: D&E

Client Best Served: Females between the ages of 11-18 who are victims of Human Trafficking / Sexual Exploitation (or youth who are at risk of such). Child and/or male victims may also be accepted on an individual basis.


Treatment Focus/Area of Specialization: Comprehensive evaluations are provided for victims of human trafficking/commercial sexual exploitation (or youth who are at risk of such). Evaluations include in-depth clinical interviews with the child and her family, as well as collateral contacts. Interviews assess the primary life domains through the following areas: family dynamics, trauma history, academic performance, social competency, sexual history, and elopement (and legal) history. Psychological testing is available and provided based upon individual need and relevance.

Ascent 121 - IMPACT Program

Client Best Served: Female adolescents who have a history of human trafficking or commercial sexual exploitation.


Treatment Focus/Area of Specialization: The IMPACT Program is a specialized residential treatment program for victims of human trafficking and/or commercial sexual exploitation. This is a collaborative effort between Ascent 121 and Lutheran Child & Family Services. Clients receive group and individual counseling, as well as comprehensive evaluations assessing risks, needs, and responsivity. Simultaneous intensive home-based family therapy services are also provided in the home to provided added stabilization and to expedite reunification.

Bashor Children's Home - Day Treatment / Alternative Education Programs

Client Best Served: Students identified by the public schools as emotionally disabled and/or at risk and in need of a smaller setting with more individualized services provided.


Treatment Focus/Area of Specialization: Designed for students with behavioral and/or emotional problems severe enough that it interferes with their ability to obtain an education in a normal setting, as well as disrupting the education process of those around them. Students live at home and are bused in for day school. This program includes individual, family, and group counseling by a case manager. Instruction is individualized and based on each student\\\'s academic levels as well as their emotional stability. Other services provided include: case management, family support, behavior management, instruction in social skills, anger management and frustration tolerance, and counseling.

Family centered, strength-based program works to stabilize behavior and teach responsibility through predictable, dependable expectations. Focus on teaching socially acceptable interpersonal relationship skills, self respect, and basic living skills utilizing a behavior modification approach. Referrals accepted throughout Indiana. Features include access to public schools in the local community and alternative on-ground education program, therapeutic recreation, spiritual life services, and an on-site medical clinic.

Client Best Served: Males with delinquency adjudication or other qualifying criteria who are experiencing emotional/behavioral issues that would benefit from intensive cognitive and skills based treatment in a locked, secure setting. Movement to less restrictive settings available based on individual needs.


Treatment Focus/Area of Specialization: Trauma informed programming for young men dealing with behavioral issues resultant from complex trauma and mental illness. Holistic youth centered multi-disciplinary planning encompasses therapy, education, medical, spiritual and recreation. On-grounds education program includes a self-contained classroom, tutoring, computer resources, credit transfer and GED preparation with licensed teachers. Clinician specialization matched to client needs may include TF-CBT and/or EMDR, CSAYC, The Seven Challenges, Motivational Interviewing, and CBT. Client Best Served: Females with delinquency adjudication or qualifying criteria needing a locked, secure environment. These young women may present with ongoing behaviors resulting from trauma, including exploitation, such as anger/aggression, self-harming behaviors, attachment difficulties, and high risk behaviors in the community.


Treatment Focus/Area of Specialization: Trauma informed programming for young women dealing with behavioral issues resultant from complex trauma and mental illness. Holistic youth centered multi-disciplinary planning encompasses therapy, education, medical, spiritual and recreation. On-grounds education program includes a self-contained classroom, tutoring, computer resources, credit transfer and GED preparation with licensed teachers. Client Best Served: Children who have been neglected or abused, CHINS or delinquent, behavioral and emotional problems, and are in need of a stable, nurturing home environment. Priority given to children who completed the residential portion of services at Bashor Children\\\'s Home.


Treatment Focus/Area of Specialization: Bashor\\\'s therapeutic foster homes are closely connected with individual programs and receive specialized training on issues addressed within that program. Independent living assessments and services are provided when appropriate. School placement may include continued on-grounds school if deemed necessary. Respite care available. Transition period of 5 - 8 weeks from residential care to foster care. 24 hour a day emergency assistance for foster parents available.
